Corrosion of Metals
It has become a main goal for scientists, conservators and archaeologists to rescue, preserve, restore, and increase public awareness of the historical, archaeological, and cultural heritage. An important part of research consists of identifying the mechanisms responsible for the degradation of metals.

The effects of different acidic solutions (leaching) as well as the effects of various climatic parameters (weathering) on the corrosion of glasses were investigated.
